City of Barrie’s drinking water gets perfect score

The City of Barrie has achieved a 100% score from the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) for drinking water quality.

“…Barrie, ON – The City of Barrie has achieved a 100% score from the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) for drinking water quality. The rating will be published in the Ministry’s Chief Drinking Water Inspector’s Annual Report…

 

…The annual provincial inspection is a legislative requirement of all municipal drinking water systems under the Safe Drinking Water Act. The primary focus of the inspection is to confirm compliance with MECP legislation, as well as evaluating conformance with ministry drinking water policies and guidelines. The inspection report identified that the City of Barrie achieved full compliance with all MECP requirements.
