Carbon capture rollout slowing down due to obstacles

The disagreement over financial risk-sharing is slowing the adoption of carbon capture technology in Canada, with industry and government at odds regarding taxpayer involvement and project viability.

“If you’re the government, you want to make sure the money that taxpayers are paying is being spent wisely,” said Entropy CEO Mike Belenkie. “For carbon capture and storage to work, there has to be a relentless focus on picking the best project.”
